FileZilla
FileZilla is an open source ftp client that will enable you to
transfer files from your home computers to the pafis.shh.fi server.If
you attempt to connect for the first time to the pafis server using FileZilla,
these are the steps that you will have to take:
Connecting
1. Assuming that you already have installed the program on your home/working
computer, you will access the program, go to the File menu, select
the Site Manager option, and under Site Manager, name a new site
pafis.shh.fi
2. On the right side of the Site Manager window, write in the host
field pafis.shh.fi and enter the port of the server into the
port field. In our case, it's 22, just as it is illustrated in
the picture below.
3. Select the server type SFTP using SSH2.
4. Tick the normal logontype.
5. Enter your user name in the user field.
6. Tick the Don't save password. option.
7. Press Save and Exit option.
Navigation
After a successful connection to the remote pafis server, a list of
files and folders appear on the right side of the window. The folders on
your home/working computer are displayed on the left side of the window
and are arranged in a tree.
Transfering files
The easiest way to move your files on the pafis server is by dragging
them from one side to the other.
