My name is Leonardo. I am a student at the Swedish School of Economics and Business Administration in Finland. I study Advanced Financial Information Systems, which is a mixture of Accounting, Finance and Information Technology. The purpose of this web site is to divulge the works that are carried out in this Master's program as well as provide information about myself.
I come from Brazil, the most beautiful country on earth (Finland being the second). Brazil is knwon for its football and carnival, even though our football team has nowadays been losing every inconceivable match and our greatest sports star is now a tennis player, Gustavo Kuerten the three-times Roland Garros champion and number one tennis player in the world according to both ATP's rankings. Besides carnival, we have also been offering state of the art airplanes to the world: Embraer.
Finland is the country of technology. Every one wandering through the streets of Helsinki will come to realize that this country breathes and eats high technology. The United Nations recently considered Finland the technology's greatest achiever, surpassing the USA. I have been in Finland for almost exactly three years.
I have two higher level degrees. I am a civil engineer graduated at the University of Brasilia as well as a computer engineer from the Espoo Vantaa Institute of Technology.
I was born is Manaus, which I know means curse in Finnish but is also called by many (Brazilians) the capital of nature since it is located at the very heart of the Amazon Forest. Those wishing to know more about Manaus should refer to somebody else but me, because I left Manaus when I was 11 months old. Instead, ask me about Brasilia, the capital of Brazil, where I earned my university degree and where my family is based.
